Ancient Weir Village

Gentle Reader,

Ni Hao!  These photos are from our walk through the Weir Village area.  We had tea with several people from the orchestra, sharing this warmth in our hands on a cold day.

Absolutely fell in love with the woman pictured above.  That beautiful face.

And yes, those are various pig parts, including pig heads, hanging to dry.  This was a frequent site.  Later on the tour, we had a drying rack of pig parts hanging directly outside our hotel window.

The food vendors were friendly and generally happy to give their smiles to our photos.  A working place, a busy street stocking items needed for everyday living.

Enjoy the photo memories of this special, colorful place...

Namaste,
Marianne
